Four Seasons Recruiting &
Privacy Policies

Active vs. Passive Recruiting and Position Status
We keep
our website up-to-date with status of our available positions.
All pages are marked with "active" or "passive" indicators
at the top of the page.
Even after all positions are filled, we always continue to passively
recruit. Our policy of "passive recruitment"
means we will no longer hold career seminars at conventions or conferences,
nor will we actively advertise in newspapers or re-post positions on external
web sites, but we will continue to accept resumes from qualified and interesting
candidates for both immediate and future consideration.
It is our belief that we should consider each individual every time because,
"we never know when we might find someone that we didn't even know
we were looking for..." In the past, we have hired individuals
even when we were not actively looking for new employees because we found
someone we thought would contribute in a special way and we didn't want
to lose them. We also like to keep a full resume bank for short-notice
needs. In the past, because of family problems or health concerns
or other unexpected causes, we have had teachers depart abruptly.
It is at those times we are glad to have a file of qualified teachers
to contact to see who is available for an immediate placement.
If we are passively recruiting, we will evaluate resumes for future consideration.
If it is kept on file, you will be notified when we are actively recruiting
again for a position that we feel you are well suited for. In that
case, please be sure to keep us up-to-date on your contact information,
as in the past, we have been unable to locate potential candidates. Further,
if we feel very strongly that we can create or add a position at that
time to match your particular skills and experiences, we will proceed
onto the second tier of the application process immediately.
POSITION:
Please note that we
do not offer internships for any positions at this time.

Application Procedures:
the multi-tiered process
Four Seasons
follows a three tier application process.
1. Receipt and review of resume, photo, and any
character references. Qualified candidates are either added
to the resume bank or moved to Tier Two immediately.
2. Second Tier applicants are
invited to download a sample contract and application. After carefully
reviewing the sample contract, applicants are requested to return the
completed application in a timely manner. Qualified candidates will be
moved to Third Tier immediately.
3. Third Tier applicants will
be interviewed by telephone, or if convenient, face to face (in Japan
or at an international conference.) Third Tier applicants will
be provided additional information about the position, including salary
details to review prior to the phone call.
Qualified candidates will receive
job offers.
Want it in simple English? Send us your resume. If
we like you, we'll ask you to complete an application. If we like you
more after that, we'll give you a phone call. If we love you then
and you love us, we'll offer you a job! Its really pretty easy and
it saves us all a lot of time. And you'll get all the information
you need every step of the way and have a chance to really get to know
us as people too, by the time the phone call comes around.
